Postcards KEP
(Kiwanis Education Program for children)
I would like you to join in the following event. There are 4 types of postcards, each with a different Kiwnis poster. The posters were the winners in the competition organized for the 40thConvention which took place in Gdansk - Sopot in 2007. Jacek Sobocinski`s idea to organize the competition for the Convention poster among the students of the Art Academy in Gdansk. The idea was extremely popular as the posters were to be used throughout the European Kiwanis network.
Wahib Aladin, the Chairman of KEP , used the posters to print the cards.
The set contains 4 cards with envelopes, each with a different poster. Each set costs 10 €. Half of this sum goes back to KEP and half is for the club. I know that is seems expensive but if we expect to get money for our projects from KEP, wemust contribute to its funding.

The cards are beautuful and are a good reminder of the European Federation Convention.
You can imagine how pleased I felt when, during the EF Board meeting in October, I heard so many compements about our posters.

Governor 2008-2009

The author of the idea of organizing the open-air painting workshops with members of Kiwanis for talented young people among whom the most gifted one is chosen to be granted artistic scholarship, is Beata Santarek from K.I. club Pulawy. She, as the Commissioner of the event, undertook this difficult and innovatory enterprise. Beata was supported in the organizational matters -she could count on the members of her club, the host of this region-Kiwanis International Club Pulawy.
