May I ask you to say to all the polish members of your DIF, that I was really upset when I was informed about the plane accident of your President and a lot ofleaders, civilian and military ,of Poland.
Those are very difficult moments for your country , and be sure that I am with my thoughts with all of you.

Liebe Barbara,
die Mitglieder unseres KC haben mit Erschrecken, mit großer Bestürzung und tiefster Betroffenheit von dem großen Unglück Kenntnis genommen, dass Polen und das polnische Volk am Samstag heimsuchte.
Wir bedauern es sehr, dass bei diesem tragischen Flugzeugunglück Euer Präsident und viele führende Politiker Eures Landes den Tod gefunden haben. Es ist eine Ironie des Schicksals, dass gerade das Flugzeug verunglückte, das die polnische Delegation zur Gedenkfeier des Massakers von Katyn an Bord hatte.
Wir hoffen und wünschen, dass die polnische Nation ihren Schock über diese Katastrophe überwinden wird und das Haus Europa weiter erfolgreich mit aufbaut.
